Aileen Tokunaga, Chief Aileen Tokunaga was appointed as Chief for the Office of Workforce Equality on February 1, 2005. Her primary responsibilities include managing DWR's equal employment opportunity programs, investigating complaints of discrimination, conducting prevention of sexual harassment, disability, and diversity training of all DWR employees, workforce analysis, and DWR's mentor program. Prior to assuming her current role, Aileen served as the Regional Manager for the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation's Discrimination Investigation Unit from October 2000 to January 2005. Aileen's career includes a year as the Department of Motor Vehicles' Acting EEO Officer, and over sixteen years at the Legislature where she worked as a consultant for Speaker Willie L. Brown, Jr., Senator Bill Lockyer, and Senate pro Tempore David Roberti. Aileen received her Juris Doctor from the University of Northern California Law School.
