The Water Education Branch works to educate the public about a multitude of California water issues through special events and other outreach activities. Water education and water safety materials are made available to schools and the public and are included in DWR displays and exhibits at events throughout the state.

Education Services
The Water Education and Administration Branch provides education services and materials to the public and schools throughout California. A sampling of education materials available may be viewed at this link.

Water Safety
With more than 20 lakes and reservoirs open to recreation, the Water Education and Administration Branch raises awareness of how you and your family can stay water safe through the Water Safety Program. The Program is also designed to help minimize the number of accidents and drownings along the State Water Project. A sample of water safety services and materials can be viewed at this link.

Special Events
The Water Education and Administration Branch conducts special events at DWR's Visitor Centers and other off-site locations.
